Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West athlete Darian Owens is one of the more versatile players in the West in the 2016 class.
The four-star is the No. 13 athlete nationally and can play either receiver or safety.
The No. 7 athlete in the West and No. 5 athlete in California, Owens committed to UCLA in April.
He chose the Bruins over offers from schools like Arizona State, Boise State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and Washington.
Owens visited Nebraska earlier in the season, but is back solid with the Bruins and will take his official visit in mid-December to UCLA.
He and Clovis West are on to the CIF-Central Section quarterfinals against Fresno (Calif.) Bullard, thanks to a three-touchdown performance in their playoff opener.
Owens will be playing in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in January in Southern California.
