Scout 100 Junior Greg Rogers Set For Summer Decision

Nov. 18 -- Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial junior defensive lineman Greg Rogers is planning a few unofficial trips over the next couple of months and will make an early decision...

Standout defensive tackle Greg Rogers is a national recruit and rated among the top 50 prospects nationally in the 2017 Scout 100.

Rogers is a big bodied athlete with a nice get off and is very strong. He can take on a double team and still stand his ground, gets a nice push in the middle and is already advanced technique wise and uses his hands very well.

On the recruiting front, Rogers has double digit scholarship offers and will be hitting the road soon.

"I'm going to take some trips in January/February," Rogers said. "I'm going to UCLA, Arizona State and USC. I've already been to UCLA and ASU but this will be my first time seeing USC.

"USC hasn't offered yet, I'm still waiting on that one. I checked out UCLA a week after they offered me over the summer and really liked it there. I went to ASU for a game earlier in the year and enjoyed myself there as well so I'm looking forward to these visits and learning more about the schools."

Rogers said he plans to make an early decision but isn't leaning anywhere right now.

"I still have a big list of schools and I'm open to all of them," Rogers said. "I want to keep an open mind because I have a great relationship with a lot of schools right now and I'm giving everyone a fair shot.

"I'm still hoping for a few more offers and I think Duke and Northwestern could be close. I've been talking with both of them a lot lately so we'll see what happens. I'm looking to commit sometime in the summer so these visits will be big for me and then I'll have some time to evaluate everyone and make my decision."
