Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton 2017 four-star athlete Sione Heimuli-Lund will take an unofficial visit to a Pac-12 school this weekend.
"I'll be taking an unofficial visit to Stanford next weekend," said Heimuli-Lund.
Heimuli-Lund will join his 2016 teammate Simi Fehoko, a commit to Stanford, in Palo Alto.
The Cardinal offered Heimuli-Lund early in the process and they continue to do well for him and are one of the schools standing out to him.
BYU, Utah, Stanford, Notre Dame, Washington and Vanderbilt are recruiting me the hardest," said Heimuli-Lund. "UCLA and USC haven't offered yet but I'm hearing a ton from them too."
In fact, Heimuli-Lund is set to decide on Sunday, which has to bode well for the Cardinal.
"I'm going to announce my commitment on Sunday," said Heimuli-Lund.
Heimuli-Lund will see the Irish play Stanford this weekend, but haven't offered yet, though he thinks they could be close.
"Notre Dame and Duke could be the closest to offering," said Heimuli-Lund.
While he plays both running back and linebacker, schools are recruiting Heimuli-Lund for both sides.
"Everyone is recruiting me as an athlete," said Heimuli-Lund.
Heimuli-Lund is LDS and said he plans to serve his mission early in his college career.
"I plan on playing first and then going," said Heimuli-Lund. "It just depends on how well my first year goes of football"
Heimuli-Lund ran for 1,184 yards on 113 carries with 14 touchdowns and had 123 tackles and five sacks on defense for the Bengals.
