Freshman UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen was named the Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year on Tuesday.
Rosen just completed an excellent true freshman campaign, leading UCLA to an 8-4 record and within a game of winning the Pac-12 South. In the midst of starting all twelve games for the Bruins, Rosen at one point completed 245 straight passes without an interception.
On the year, Rosen completed 59.5% of his 447 pass attempts to go along with 20 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. He also ran for two touchdowns.
Two years ago, Myles Jack won both Freshman Offensive and Freshman Defensive Player of the Year for UCLA. With just one total tackle this year, Rosen fell just short of serious contention for the defensive prize.
