Freshman offensive lineman Fred Ulu-Perry has returned to his home in Honolulu, Hawaii, because of homesickness, according to sources.
Ulu-Perry left school during USC week.
It's uncertain if Ulu-Perry will return to UCLA, according to sources. He and his family are in contact with UCLA as Ulu-Perry decides what he wants to do.
A source close to the situation said there is a possibility that Ulu-Perry could want to transfer to hometown Hawaii.
It's not the first time Ulu-Perry went home because of homesickness thi season, doing so about a month into the season. It was hoped he'd get acclimated to UCLA, but this most recent trip back to Hawaii in November/December could be an indication of Ulu-Perry deciding to leave the program.
Ulu-Perry played this season as a true freshman at offensive guard, and also played defensive tackle. He was expected to be an integral part of UCLA's offensive line in the coming years.
