UCLA Prospect Preview: Week Fifteen

Dec. 4 -- Check out where UCLA prospects will be playing this weekend throughout the country...

**Game of the Week:***  Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco vs. Corona (Calif.) Centennial

The showdown all Southern California has been anticipating, in a rematch of last year's CIF-SS Pac-5 title game.  The winner earns the Open Division spot for SoCal while the loser could still get in to the D-I bracket.  No. 2 seed St. John Bosco, which has five-star offensive guard and 2017 UCLA target Wyatt Davis leading a stellar offensive line also has quarterback Quentin Davis, who UCLA is checking out. The Huskies are the defending Pac-5 champs and the top overall seed in the Pac-5 and their top prospect is Scout Top 50 receiver and Bruin target Javon McKinley, a top 10 receiver nationally.  A host of UCLA coaches, including head coach Jim Mora, will be at Angel Stadium for the Pac-5 game.

Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty vs. Clovis (Calif.)

UCLA linebacker commit Krys Barnes try to move on to the CIF Regional Bowl, but they have to get through Clovis first in the CIF-Central Section finals.  Clovis has Idaho receiver commit J.J. Wills, the son of former UCLA running back Shawn Wills.

Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw

Narbonne has been the City’s best the past five years, and they’re paced by new UCLA commit Alex Akingbulu on the offensive line as well as a host of other FBS prospects and commits like Devaughn Cooper and Jamal Hicks.  Crenshaw has former UCLA verbal Marquis Lawson as well as Washington State pledge Derek Moore.  These two teams have combined to win the last seven City Section D-I titles, with Narbonne having won four and Crenshaw three in that span.

Los Angeles (Calif.) vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax

Los Angeles, which has UCLA 2017 four-star defensive line target Martin Andrus leading the unbeaten Romans, won the Coliseum League and after winning the D-III title in the City last year, move up to D-II this year and are the No. 1 seed in that division and will try to win their second straight City title against Fairfax.

San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine vs. La Mesa (Calif.) Helix

The Saints have UCLA commit Michael Alves on the offensive line and linebacker Quinn Seau and 2018 cornerback Isaac Taylor, who will be one of the top defensive backs in his class.  Helix has a pair of Washington State commits in linebacker Jihad Woods and athlete Mason Vinyard as well as San Jose State receiver commit Mekhi Stevenson.

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle vs. Pleasanton (Calif.) Foothill

The Spartans, led by UCLA targets Boss Tagaloa and Devin Asiasi, try to win another CIF-NCS title and they play Foothill.  A Spartan win, which would be their 24th straight NCS title, puts them in the CIF Open Division title game in two weeks.
