UCLA to Play Nebraska in Foster Farms Bowl

Dec. 6 -- UCLA will take on Nebraska in the Foster Farms Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 26th in Santa Clara...

Despite finishing the year 5-4 in conference, UCLA leapt over two 6-3 teams on Sunday to snag a berth in the Foster Farms Bowl, the Pac-12's fourth place bowl game. The Bruins will take on the 5-7 Nebraska Cornhuskers, who earned a bowl invitation because there were not enough six-win teams to fill all bowls.

This will be UCLA's third appearance in the Bay Area bowl, appearing once in the Emerald Bowl in 2006 and once in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in 2011, with both games taking place in AT&T Park in San Francisco. This year, the game will take place at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara.

The Bruins last played Nebraska in 2012 and 2013, and UCLA swept the series. Mike Riley, the current head coach for Nebraska, was the longtime Oregon State head coach, and UCLA should no doubt be very familiar with him and his style of play.

A win in the Foster Farms Bowl would give UCLA a fourth consecutive 9-win season, which is unprecedented in UCLA history.
