Big Official Visit Weekend For UCLA

Dec. 13 -- UCLA is hosting a big official visit weekend, with several big-time targets -- some from out of state -- on their official visits...

It's a critical official visit weekend for UCLA starting Friday.  It's the last weekend before the dead period (which runs from the middle of December thru mid-January), and it's one of the handful of weekends UCLA will entertain a fairly large number of recruits on their visits.

The biggest news is that, as of right now, a four-star prospect who is committed elsewhere will visit officially.  We can't release who the prospect is or even his position.

The official visitors list, as of Tuesday, is below.

4-Star unnamed prospect
4-star DT Boss Tagaloa, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle
4-star TE Devin Asiasi, Concord (Calif.) De La Salle
4-star ATH Khaleke Hudson, McKeesport (Penn.)
4-star LB Lokeni Toailoa, Rialto (Calif.) Carter, Committed
4-star LB Breland Brandt, Los Angeles Windward,  Committed
3-Star S Leni Toailoa, Rialto (Calif.) Carter, Committed
3-Star DT Nick Terry, Sacramento (Calif.) American River JC, Committed

It's a big weekend, obviously.

It's thought UCLA has a real shot with Asiasi, probably right now being between UCLA and Alabama. But USC, a long-time favorite with him, could make a comeback, depending on the staff hires.  So the official visit at UCLA could loom large in Asiasi's decision. It helps that he's close with Tagaloa, who's a strong lean to the Bruins.

We're also hearing that UCLA has a serious chance with Hudson, with Michigan probably being the main competition.  Hudson is a versatile athlete who could play either corner or safety in UCLA's defense, or even be that nickel linebacker.

We, again, apologize that we can't report on the mystery recruit, but if we did it could seriously detract from UCLA's recruitment of the prospect.
