College Football Recruiting: Top 10 DEs in the Class of 2016

The Race to National Signing Day continues with a breakdown of the top 10 defensive ends in the 2016 class, including a UCLA commitment...

1. Nick Bosa, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Ohio State commit will get to fill the shoes of his big brother, Joey Bosa, but he comes in even more touted than big bro ever did.

2. Oluwole Betiku, Gardena (Calif.) Serra

Betiku, a one-time UCLA commit, is leaning more and more to USC, where Serra players continue to go and prosper.

3. Justin Madubuike, McKinley (Texas) North

The Aggies have an in-state pass rusher ready to learn from another Lone Star State star in Myles Garrett.

4. Marlon Davidson, Greenville (Ala.)

The Auburn commit is still considering Georgia and LSU but the Tigers are doing everything they can to hold on to him.

5. Jonathon Cooper, Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln

The Buckeyes are keeping the Midwest's top pass-rusher in-state and he's been a commit for over a year and free from any worries.

6. Jeffery Simmons, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County

The recruitment of Simmons is what you'd expect for a Mississippi kid- a battle of the Egg Bowl rivals to keep the top lineman in the state.

7. Breland Brandt, Los Angeles (Calif.) Windward

The former star basketball player committed to UCLA over a year ago and hasn't wavered and he'll be brought in to rush the passer off the edge as a hybrid.

8. Brian Burns, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage

Florida and Florida State are battling to keep him in state but Georgia and LSU are trying to convince him to leave the Sunshine State.

9. Shane Simmons, Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic

Simmons committed to Penn State before his junior year started and has been one of the Nittany Lions' best recruiters.

10. Isaiah Chambers, Houston (Texas) MacArthur

TCU pulled in a commitment from the state's No. 2 pass rusher and beat several bigtime programs to land him.
