"It is not an easy decision, but I am officially decommitting from Texas A&M," Davis announced.
Davis is thankful for the offer from Texas A&M and had built a strong relationship with its coaching staff.
"I want to thank Texas A&M and the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play for a great program and further my education," Davis began.
"I feel like I made my decision too early, it is best that I re-open my recruitment and make sure that I choose the best college for me."
Before committing to Texas A&M Davis had been offered scholarships to play at a number of top colleges such as Oklahoma State, UCLA, Arkansas, LSU, Houston, Texas Tech, California, and a host of others.
"I will be taking all five of my official visits and will make my final decision after I take all five of my official visits," Davis reported.
As a senor in 2015, Davis was one of the premiere players in he Midlands region. He had over 900 receiving yards and scored 20 touchdowns.
