Jake Brendel talked during Nebraska week.
On the emotions of his final collegiate game:
I try and stay level-headed, taking it day by day, because if you look at the big picture, it's kind of depressing. At the same time, I'm trying my best to go out with a win and my head held high and know that I brought the best that I could bring.
On knowing he'll be in the UCLA record books for most career starts:
It feels good. Its something I can hang my hat on and take pride in. It's something you'll talk to with all your friends when you're 50 at a bar. Or it will be like a trivia question.
On what he's seen from Nebraska:
I feel pretty good with how we are right now and we're on a pretty good path right now. We'll have a good practice and we'll be prepared.
On playcalling duties:
I'm not at that level of experience yet. Hopefully at the next level, I'll have more control. Who knows.
On postseason plans:
Right now, I'm going to the East-West Shrine Bowl and Coach Mora is really working on the Senior Bowl, but if that doesn't work, I'll be completely fine with the Shrine Bowl. I finished school this past quarter, I'm done, an economics degree from UCLA.
