College Football Recruiting: Top 10 SAFs in the Class of 2016

Jan. 11 -- The Race to National Signing Day continues with a breakdown of the top 10 safeties in the 2016 class...

1. Brandon Jones, Nacogdoches Texas)

The two in-state blue bloods, Texas and Texas A&M lead for Jones but Baylor and Oregon aren't entirely out of the picture.

2. Nigel Warrior, Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge

Tennessee leads for Warrior but Ohio State and Georgia, the home-state school, are staying in the race for him.

3. Eric Monroe, Galena Park (Texas) North Shore

LSU has long had success in Texas and Monroe keeps that recent run going.

4. Deontay Anderson, Manvel (Texas)

Anderson has a top three of LSU, Mississippi and Texas.

5. Jamel Cook, Miami (Fla.) Central

Cook is a soft commit to Florida State, with Auburn and hometown Miami both trying to sway him.

6. Chauncey Gardner, Cocoa (Fla.)

Gardena has been solid to homestate Florida since his commitment early in the spring.

7. Lamar Jackson, Elk Grove (Calif.) Franklin

Jackson named a top five of NebraskaUSC, Oregon, Arizona State and UCLA.

8. Andrew Pryts, Hermitage (Pa.) Hickory

Penn State got a commitment from the in-state Pryts just before the season started.

9. Dylan Singleton, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer

The commitment of Singleton to Duke was a big one for David Cutcliffe and his program.

10. Demetric Vance, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech

The state's top safety, Vance chose Michigan State and their salty defense, to take his big hitting ability.
