Four-star tight end Devin Asiasi named his top five following the national championship game last night, and UCLA made the cut.
The other schools in the mix are USC, Washington, Michigan, and Alabama.
With UCLA in the process of hiring Marques Tuiasosopo, Asiasi's recruiter from USC, the Bruins are thought to be rising up in status in this recruitment. Additionally, the promotion of Kennedy Polamalu to offensive coordinator and the addition of a dedicated tight ends coach in Rip Scherer should also help the Bruins in this recruitment.
Asiasi was one of the most impressive performers at the Army Bowl practices last week, looking like an exceptional athlete for his size and perhaps capable of playing tight end at the college level even at 270 or 280 pounds.
He's close friends with Boss Tagaloa, who's a longtime UCLA lean, and that could also help the Bruins in this recruitment as well.
