Kentrell Love, the four-star cornerback prospect from Corona (Calif.) Centennial, had an excellent senior season, and left no doubt he has as much potential as any corner out West.
Love is a long, athletic corner with very good short area quickness and top end speed. He's all of 6-2 but is very fluid and moves effortlessly. He has good ball skills but his best attribute might be his toughness. He's the most physical corner out west, strong in run support and plays with a serious edge to him.
He tackles like a safety but definitely has the feet and quickness to stay at corner in college. He always comes ready to play, is highly competitive and has a chance to be a very special player at the next level.
On the recruiting front, Love gave an early commitment to Washington last summer but the Huskies have been trying to hold off others since, particulary UCLA, which has been coming at Love pretty hard after offering him a couple of months ago. Love has moved to the top of UCLA's wish list for 2016 cornerbacks, in fact.
Love will officially visit UCLA this weekend, and the rumor around the recruitment -- and from Washington sources -- is that a flip to UCLA is very likely.
