Rashan Gary made official visits to to USC, Michigan, Mississippi and Auburn, and will spend the weekend at Clemson on an official visit. He also had his last in-home visits, and after the trip to Clemson, will huddle with his family and advisors and make a decision.

Alabama is definitely a player here after Mique Juarez visited over the weekend and Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban came in Monday for a home visit. He will visit BYU this weekend and UCLA is trying to get him on campus for an unofficial visit before the dead period ends.

Two official visits (Auburn and Georgia) down for Derrick Brown, the top prospect in Georgia, with one to Tennessee remaining. It could go any direction, but the school with the most buzz right now is Auburn.

After his official visit to Alabama, Ben Davis officially named the Crimson Tide his leader. He is an Alabama legacy. His father, Wayne, played for the Crimson Tide and his mother went to school there.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and lead assistant Mike Denbrock visited Caleb KellyKelly Tuesday night and made a strong impression. This comes on the heels of Oklahoma coming in the home last week and gaining a lot of momentum back for the Sooners. Mike Stoops has been relentless in his pursuit of Kelly and no one is recruiting Kelly harder. This one is an absolute coin toss right now and will go down to the wire..

Brandon Jones, a 6-foot, 190-pound safety from Nacogdoches, Texas, took an official visit to Arkansas and will take a trip to Baylor to close out his schedule. The visit to Arkansas was a great one, but we still feel it will be an in-state school.

Notre Dame is still trending for Demetris Robertson but Georgia Tech will receive an official visit this weekend. Robertson planned to visit Alabama Jan. 15, then again on Jan. 22, but made neither trip. He plans to take his recruitment past signing day.

Tyrie Cleveland, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Spring (Texas) Westfield, has now been on trips to TCU and Arkansas and will finish out his schedule with Florida. The Gators will get the last shot at him. He is considered a Houston ‘soft verbal’, so if there is a decision to be made, we will be watching for a flip.

Jeffrey McCulloch, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound outside linebacker from Houston (Texas) Davis, is involved in an interesting battle. He visited Stanford, and Texas . The No. 1 OLB in the Midlands will be a signng day decision. The common thought here is that the Texas Longhorns continue to stand in a good spot to sign the No. 1 OLB in the state of Texas.

For Nate Craig, the visit over the weekend to Auburn may have the Tiger's in the driver's seat.  This one is far from over though with plenty of other schools still in the race.

Update 1/26: Craig is now down to two schools, Auburn and North Carolina.  The Tigers still are the school to beat here.  Some feel he could have already made up his mind.

Jared Mayden, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound cornerback from Sachse (Texas), has now taken all five of his official visits and has announced a top two of Alabama and Oklahoma. Those are also the last two schools that he has used official visits on. He will be making a decision on national signing day around 8:15 AM CST.

Deontay Anderson, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety from Manvel (Texas), officially announced a top three of LSU, Ole Miss and Texas, and he is a confirmed national signing day decision. Ole Miss is still the feel.

Jaquan Yulee recently decommitted from Alabama thought it seemed like the Crimson Tide remained in the lead. MarylandWest VirginiaVirginia Tech, Florida and UCLA were also involved. Then he committed to Marshall out of the blue last week.

Dontavious Jackson, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound middle linebacker from Alief (Texas) Elsik, is probably the hardest prediction to make in Midlands recruiting. Look out for the Longhorns if he does make an unofficial visit to see the school the final weekend before signing day. He had a great time at Alabama, so it may be a Big 12 vs. SEC battle.

Devin Asiasi, a big tight end, visited Michigan last weekend and the Wolverines are a major player. He will visit USC this weekend, although we are hearing Alabama is fighting for that last visit as well. UCLA coach Jim Mora will be in the home Wednesday and UCLA has a lot going for it right now.

This is a tight, tight battle between Florida State and LSU for Trayvon Mullen . It could literally go either way, but the Tigers have the edge a week out.

Like his teammate Devin Asiasi, Michigan made a big impression on Boss Tagaloa during his weekend visit. UCLA has always been believed to be a solid leader here but watch out for the Wolverines. UCLA coach Jim Mora will be in the home Thursday and Tagaloa will visit USC this weekend.

Texas A&M is trending as Quartney Davis, a 6-2 1/2, 181-pound wide receiver from Houston (Texas) Langham Creek, rated his official visit to Ole Miss a perfect 10. But the Aggies are closer to home and will get the last shot at him on his Jan. 29 official visit. He was previously committed to Texas A&M.

LaVert Hill Hill took an official visit to Michigan State, where the Spartans have momentum, but on his way back home, he made a stop over in Ann Arbor, Mich., to see the Michigan coaches. There are plenty of people within his sphere of influence who would be considered pro-Michigan State and there are plenty who you'd consider pro-Michigan. This will be a tough decision for the kid. Michigan State would still be the school that's trending here, but there are still people close to him saying it's Michigan.

Alabama has Shyheim Carter on campus for a mid-week visit, then Georgia gets him this weekend. Clemson made a big move and Georgia Tech is not out of it.

Michigan wanted it, and almost had it, but on Monday, Georgia secured the final official visit from E.J. Price. He is a one-time Georgia commit, and the odds are he ends up a Bulldog.

Things can change fast in recruiting. Levi Onwuzurike, a 6-4, 260-pound four-star from Allen (Texas), decided on Jan. 20 and Washington made up enough ground on Baylor to seal the deal.

Raekwon Davis announced on Twitter Wednesday night he plans to stick with Alabama. He visited Mississippi State a couple of weeks ago and reportedly told Dan Mullen he is a Bulldog. Alabama trending? Yes. But this is not done until he signs.

Byron Murphy checked out Arizona State, Texas A&M and Washington. The Sun Devils had been trending lately but the Huskies went in to Arizona State's backyard and snagged a commitment from the four-star.

It is a three-team race between Florida State, UCLA and USC for Brandon Burton. He was set to commit to UCLA at the Under Armour game but decided to hold off. He set an announcement day and the Bruins still look good but also watch out for the USC Trojans.

This one is very tough to call and we've gone back and forth between the Sun Devils and Huskers. He'll announce via a Bleacher Report video and our guess right now is Arizona State.

Chris Daniels, a 6-4, 315-pound defensive tackle from Euless (Texas) Trinity,  is making the trend meter is go haywire. He officially parted ways with Oklahoma and is looking hard at a couple of SEC schools down the stretch. He took an official visit to Tennessee and has Texas A&M on deck. Texas A&M was the early favorite in his recruitment, but the thought coming out of Knoxville, Tenn., is the ‘Horns may lead.

The further the Texas A&M visit is in the rear view mirror for Mark Jackson, the stronger the chance he does not sign with the Aggies, where he is listed as a soft commit. This is about as close as a race can get for Keith Gavin. You hear Florida State one day, and Alabama the next. He is a former Florida State commit, but Alabama is trending. Saban had his in-home on Tuesday.

Karamo Dioubate decommitted recently from Penn State, and was set to visit Michigan State and South Carolina this weekend. However, a family issue forced him to cancel those visits, and he will not be playing in an all-star game the weekend of Jan. 29, which will enable him to make an official visit that weekend. Ohio State remains in the mix as well.

Maxs Tupai enjoyed his visit to USC last weekend and Oklahoma is now on deck and will get a visit this weekend. Watch out for Utah as the hometown school. Tupai visited the school multiple times and has a high comfort level with the coaching staff.

Beau Bisharta decommitted from Stanford had a solid visit to Arizona State. He will take a mid-week trip to Colorado on Wednesday. Boise State and Cal are also in the mix and he could have a final decision by the weekend. Bisharat is a big, physical RB and fits in well in Colorado's offense. If the visit goes well this week, the Buffs could pull this one out.

Kyle Porter, a 5-10, 190-pounder has two of his three big official visits are in the books. He has been to TCU and Texas in the Big 12, and has Arkansas in the SEC next. Heading into the final weekend it looks like the Honed Frogs are in a good spot to land his signature.
