Five Stars on the Clock

Three of the six five-stars in the West are still uncommitted.

One of them, Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West linebacker Caleb Kelly is headed out of the Pac-12, his two finalists Oklahoma and Notre Dame.

But the other two, Torrance (Calif.) North linebacker Mique Juarez and Long Beach (Calif.) Poly athlete Jack Jones could still both very well end up in the Pac-12 and remain in the Southland.

Juarez will visit BYU this weekend after having visited Alabama last weekend and MississippiWashington and Oklahoma previously.  He also took an unofficial to UCLA this week.  The Bruins are still the favorites to land California's top player, but Alabama and Ole Miss made a big impression on him when they hosted him.

Jones is focused on three, Alabama, Texas A&M and USC, but the Trojans, who've signed a five-star from Poly the previous two classes, are trying to make it three in a row with the nation's top athlete.

California Schools Get Movement

Stanford picked up a commitment from longtime Boston College commit Scooter Harrington, a tight end to join Kaden Smith in this class.

UCLA landed Anaheim (Calif.) Servite safety Keyon Riley on his official visit and Texas offensive lineman Jake Raulerson, who visited last weekend, announced his intent to transfer to UCLA as a grad transfer.

And longtime USC commit, receiver Velus Jones, flipped to Oklahoma, and then a day later, flipped back to the Trojans.

Final Visit Weekend

It is the final weekend for official visitors, and the Pac-12 schools will be making one more pitch before Signing Day.

The visits to watch this weekend include Concord (Calif.) De La Salle teammates Boss Tagaloa and Devin Asiasi visiting USC.

Tagaloa, the West's top defensive tackle and Asiasi, the West's top tight end, have both visited UCLA, Michigan and Washington together and now visit USC together on the final weekend.

UCLA will host Gardena (Calif.) Serra athlete Brandon Burton.  Can the Bruins finally land a coveted Scout 300 prospect from Serra?

Cal will host Norco (Calif.) athlete Victor Viramontes, the one-time Michigan commit, and the Bears are going to put the full-court press on him.

And Pocatello (Idaho) Highland defensive tackle Wayne Kirby will visit Utah this weekend, after having tripped to Oregon and Washington State previously, the Utes, Cougs and Ducks making up his top three.

UCLA Stay on Top

The addition of Riley strengthened the Bruins lead at the top of the Pac-12, but Stanford is still within striking distance of recapturing the top spot in the recruiting rankings, just as they did during the season.

1. UCLA (11)

2. Stanford (14)

3. Oregon (19)

4. USC (25)

5. Washington (26)

6. Arizona State (28)
