UCLA Gets Commitment from Cade Spinello

Jan. 30 -- UCLA got a very special commitment today, from a five-star young man named Cade Spinello...

Cade Spinello, a promising young quarterback prospect from Mission Viejo, committed to UCLA today.

Spinello, a lefty, is one of the best young prospects on the west coast.

"He's a phenomenal talent," Scout's Director of Recruiting Brandon Huffman said. "A once-in-a-lifetime type of talent."

"I think he's going to have a big impact on the UCLA program," said National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins. "UCLA is lucky to have him."

Spinello took an official visit to UCLA Saturday. He toured the Rose Bowl with his parents, and the UCLA coaches showed him a great deal of attention.  UCLA head coach Jim Mora then offered Spinello a scholarship and Spinello accepted.

Spinello, even though he's 10 years old, was allowed to take an official visit because of his exceptional talent and toughness.

Cade was named after former UCLA quarterback great, Cade McNown.
