More on 2017 QB Jack Sears Visiting UCLA

Feb. 12 -- San Clemente (Calif.) has produced some talented quarterbacks over the years and rising senior Jack Sears has a chance to be the best of the bunch...

The 2017 quarterback class out West is shaping up to be a good one, much better than what we saw in the 2016 class. One player whose stock is rising fast is talented dual-threat signal caller Jack Sears.

Sears is landing a new offer every other day and when you look at his junior film, and, more importantly, his tools and physical upside, it's easy to see why. Sears is all of 6-3 and has put on some serious weight since last summer, now weighing in closer to 205 pounds.

He's a very good athlete for a quarterback and was an all-league receiver as a sophomore while playing behind current USC redshirt-freshman Sam Darnold. Sears has a strong, accurate arm, can throw inside and outside the pocket, shows great poise and never looks ratteled.

Sears visited UCLA yesterday and it will be interesting to see if the Bruins throw their hat in the ring soon. With several major programs watching him closely, don't be surprised if he's sitting on close to 20 offers by the summer.
