Four-star DB Chaz Ah You has UCLA Among Leaders

Mar. 11 -- The Bruins are among the leaders for one of the top safeties in the West...

Four-star safety Chaz Ah You camped with UCLA last summer and added an offer from the Bruins shortly thereafter, and that experience was clearly impactful.

The West region's top-rated safety in the 2017 class was superb in coverage last weekend at the Pylon 7-on-7 tournament, creeping into passing lanes to be a disruptive playmaker in the secondary. He told Bruin Report Online that UCLA is up there for him along with fellow Pac-12 programs Oregon and Stanford, with the Bruins holding a slight edge for his commitment at the moment.

"Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) has just been telling me how the future at UCLA is looking and the impact that I could make early on," Ah You said. "I will most likely be there Sunday (for a visit)."

Ah You has another important unofficial visit planned to Notre Dame later this month and is up to nearly two dozen offers. His father recently was hired at BYU, but the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect from Saratoga Springs (Utah) Westlake said that won't have any effect on his recruitment.

Get a quick rundown of his recruitment in the following video interview from the Las Vegas event:
