Video: Elijah Gates Interview and Highlights

Mar. 22 -- One of UCLA's top defensive back targets recently visited campus and has the Bruins high on his list...

Elijah Gates visited UCLA earlier this month and the Bruins made such an impression that he undoubtedly plans to use one of his five official visits on the nearby school.

The four-star cornerback from Buena Park, Calif., has proven to be one of the top cover corners in the area, showing great footwork in open space and the ability to stay with receivers down field.

UCLA assistant Demetrice Martin has prioritized Gates early on, and the 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect has felt the attention. Still, he intends to stay patient through the recruiting process and announce a decision after his senior season next winter. OregonNotre DameOhio State and Cincinnati are set to draw visits in the coming months as Gates weighs all of his options.

Check out the video interview below to hear what Gates thinks of the Bruins and his recruitment.
