SoCal DB Marques Evans Talks Hawaii, Nevada Offers and What an Offer From UCLA Would Mean

Apr. 1 -- Newbury Park (Calif.) defensive back Marques Evans is having a solid winter and showing he's among the most talented players in the state...

At the recent Passing Down 7v7 tournament, Marques Evans was easily among the top defensive backs we saw in attendance. Here was our evaluation of Evans following the event:

"Evans really impressed us and made plays all day long. He played a lot of nickel and matched up very well with opposing slot receivers. He has long arms, is fluid in his movement and shows good ball skills. He has the size a lot of colleges like in a modern day corner, pushing 6-1, but still runs well and shows good short area quickness."

The athlete currently has offers from the Hawaii Warriors and Nevada Wolf Pack and is hearing from a handful of other schools as well including the Arizona Wildcats and UCLA Bruins.
