On being back:

It feels great. Saturday was my first padded practice, first full go in a year and a half. I tried to get my bearings, a lot of rust, but excited to be back out there.

On his health:

I’m great, I’m healthy, the shoulders are great. The biggest I’ve ever been, the healthiest I’ve ever been.

On sitting out 2015:

It was frustrating for me.  My freshman year I played a little too small, my sophomore year I found a groove but wasn’t all healthy.  Now I’m healthy.

On the new tweaks on offense:

I love the offense and Coach KP has a really good philosophy for us.  Its different but easy to adapt to.  We’re starting to mesh now.

On the differences in this offense:

Its more a downhill offense, but we were a spread offense. Now, its hit them in the mouth, old school football.

On more calls:

Yes and no. Its kind of carryover, every offense is very similar but its different calls for double teams.   It was pretty easy to grasp new calls, we had it going on in winter programs.  Now its fine tuning it.  On point, first thing I see, go here.

On having veteran backs:

Its good, this offense, really suites Nate Starks, big downhill runner, he can make people miss and has breakaway speed. He doesn’t hesitate where he’s going, Cam Griffin hits the hole harder than any fullback I’ve ever seen. Its great to get guys who go and attack,

On what Kennedy Polamalu brings:

Passion.  One word, passion, for sure.
