Long Beach (Calif.) Poly safety Josh Talbott (5-11, 175), has 12 offers already with the spring evaluation period fast approaching.
And a few of those schools are standing out to Talbott.
Talbott said that the Aggies and Cougars, as well as Colorado, are ones that are recruiting him the hardest too, but said most of the schools that have offered have been on him hard.
"I just want to get out there and see some of those schools so I can have a good idea about them," said Talbott. "I've only been up to UCLA and USC. And this spring, I know that Michigan, Alabama and Washington are coming to see me."
UCLA was the first school to offer Talbott and the Bruins are still on his radar.
"I'm trying to go to their spring game and get back up there and talk with Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin)," said Talbott. "I'm good friends with Jayon Brown and Colin Samuel and I will definitely still consider UCLA. I just want to get up there."
Talbott has some positional versatility and said coaches like his ability to play a couple of positions.
"Some are liking me as a nickel and some as a safety," said Talbott. "I've play mostly safety because they needed me more for safety, but I think this year I'm going to be playing more corner. But I'm being recruited mostly as a corner or safety."
Talbott has already taken both the ACT and the SAT and he has one more 7v7 tournament to keep him busy on the weekends with Team 3 Stripe.
Then, it's all about Poly football.
"We have one more 7v7 tournament and then it is all Poly football at that point," said Talbott.
