On the first spring:

Coming in and doing my best. The speed is faster, but I’m getting used to it. Im learning the playbook as fast as I can. I came here that Saturday night (before camp), Monday we had warmups and Tuesday we had spring practice.

On if its different:

I’m used to it because I was a bounce back. I knew what they recruited me for. I couldn’t come it not knowing what to do. I came in prepared.  I think I’ve done pretty well and trying to stay consistent. I think I’ve made some plays.

On playing 3-tech and nose:

As of now, I’m just playing 3-tech and 4i.  For fall, i don’t know if it will change.

On his weight:

I came in at 298 and now I’m 292. I’m losing weight but I’ll get it back up.

On what he’s learned from Takk McKinley:

Basically just watching the ball and the speed of the game. You have to get after every play because you only get so many reps. Get in the playbook, watching the cadence, watching the ball.

On what he brings:

I bring a lot of intensity to the game.  I’m trying to make plays, get on the field, help best I can on the field.

On his improvements:

My technique. When I came in, I tried to use my strength, which is fine, but there are a lot of technical points.  On game day, everyone is up to speed.
