Mique Juarez met with the media Thursday for the first time this spring and spoke about how he has fared since returning from a concussion.

On the first spring:
Its been really good. It’s been a while, but I’m glad to be back out here. It feels really good to be back out here.
On the biggest transition:
The speed and knowing your assignments. In high school, it’s cover two or there, but now, there is an assignment you have to stick to. It’s not doing everyone else’s job, it’s doing your job.
On his position:
Right now, I’m sticking to Sam. Coach White wants me learning the plays. It takes reps.
On which upperclassmen have taken him under their wing:
Jayon, yes. I have a few classes with him and he’s been a help. Kenny Young too. I look up to those guys. Today, there was a problem with 3x1 and I was in the wrong position. I was inside at middle, I need more reps. I look up to those guys and they help me.
On playing offense:
As of right now, I haven’t heard anything about playing running back. There are a lot of plays on defense to learn, so I want to stick with that right now before learning plays on offense.
