There is no doubt 2018 running back Jaelen Gill is a major talent on the football field, as his freshman and sophomore highlights are proof of that.
Gill performed at last Saturday's Columbus Opening Regional, and he also showed he can star in a combine type setting. With the sixth best testing mark of 114.24, including a 4.34 electronic forty, Gill once again impressed.
He holds offers from several top programs, including Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, UCLA, USC, and others. Gill is in no hurry to make a decision, and he has taken several unofficial visits to date.
The speed and cutting ability were evident last Saturday, but Gill also showed the skills that could see him play any number of positions at the next level. He did have one drop Saturday, but otherwise showed good hands catching the football.
Most people see him as an offensive player, probably running back, because he is so dynamic with the football in his hands. He could also project to safety or cornerback.
