REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- Tate Martell appeared in his first competition over the weekend since backing off his commitment to Texas A&M and the five-star quarterback didn't disappoint.
The nation's No. 1-rated signal caller led Las Vegas-based 702 Elite on a championship run, going undefeated to claim yet another title in the passing league circuit. Martell showed off his arm strength while assuming total control of his offense, calling plays at the line of scrimmage and making adjustments when he needed to. UCLA checked in with Martell last week at Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman and the dual-threat prospect intends to visit the Bruins in a couple weeks.
