Oakland Opening Regional: Who Got Open?

A handful of players were chosen for The Opening Finals in Oregon today. Here are who they are along with what got them there...

Najee Harris, RB, Antioch (Calif.) - Committed to Alabama

-The No. 1 prospect in the country will return to Beaverton after another sterling performance at the Oakland Opening Regional


Marlon Tuipulotu, DT, Independence (Ore.) Central - Committed to Washington

-The top defensive lineman in the Northwest had an MVP performance that made him the second in-state selection for The Opening Finals.


Jay Tufele, DT, South Jordan (Utah) Bingham

-The top prospect in Utah had a big day and made a case for earning DL MVP honors himself.


Greg Rogers, DT, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

-The No. 2 defensive tackle in the West had a big day across the board to become yet another Vegas selection.


Hunter Echols, DE, Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral - Committed to UCLA

-Echols also made a case for DL MVP honors and after a good showing in Los Angeles, sealed his selection with a good day in Oakland.


Alex Perry, CB, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

-Overshadowed a bit by his own loaded team, Perry shined on Sunday for the second straight year and joined teammates in the Finals.


Colby Parkinson, TE, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian - Committed to Stanford

-The West's top tight end prospect in 2017 became the first player ever from Oaks Christian to make The Opening Finals.


Jaylon Johnson, CB, Fresno (Calif.) Central

-The overall MVP of the day in our eyes, Johnson had the top SPARQ score of the day (and tops by a DB nationally) and won DB MVP honors.


Salvon Ahmed, ATH, Kirkland (Wash.) Juanita

-The top skill prospect in Washington worked at defensive back and that punched his ticket to The Opening Finals.
