It's a deep year for tight ends out West and Jimmy Jaggers is one of the most complete players at the position.
Jaggers is a bit of a throwback in that he's a very capable blocker and not just a big receiver or h-back type that are so common these days. He's one of the more physical players at the position in the region yet still has the ability to be effective in the passing game.
On the recruiting front, he has taken several unofficial visits out West over the last few months, checking the UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans and Washington Huskies. He’ll head to the South in a few weeks and take a look at Florida, in what will likely be his final unofficial trip before making a decision.
Jaggers said the three Pac-12 schools along with the Gators are currently recruiting him the hardest with Texas A&M showing high interest as well. The big tight end said he’s hopeful he’ll be able to make a commitment sometime in July.
