The above video features footage of 2018 tight end Mustapha Muhammad this past week at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp at Hightower High School in Missouri City, Texas.
Muhammad, an early Scout four-star prospect from Ridge Point High School near Houston, has emerged as one of the top tight end prospects in the country's 2018 class. Muhammad has more than a dozen Power Five conference offers, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, and several others.
The 6-foot-4, 213-pound Muhammad possesses a great frame for the tight end position, especially as a receiving-oriented tight end. He moves like a big receiver and has the frame to add plenty of bulk if he's asked to play an inline tight end position in college. He catches the ball away from his body and his athleticism makes him a tough matchup for linebackers and safeties.
As a sophomore in 2015, Muhammad made his varsity debut, catching 19 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns on 16.9 yards per catch.
Stick with Scout as we continue to monitor Muhammad's development and recruitment.
