Four-star wide receiver Tarik Black competed on his home field during Michigan's satellite camp tour stop at Cheshire Academy, Connecticut.
"I only live about 10 minutes from here, and I'm always looking to get some work in," Black said. "I'm just looking to work out anytime or anywhere, because I just want to get better."
The opportunity to work out in front of college coaches is also something he found intriguing.
"I really appreciate all these coaches coming out and really helping us develop," he said. "Especially the Michigan and Boston College coaches, and all the schools recruiting me."
The 6'3" 190-pounder said he learned a lot from Michigan passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch as well.
"I got a chance to workout with Coach Fisch," Black said. "He taught me some technique at the top of my route, and was just helping me get better at my craft."
After a busy spring on the camp circuit, Black plans to get on the road to visit some of the top schools on his list.
"I'll camp at Alabama, then come back and probably hit up the Irish Invasion Camp at Notre Dame.Take a trip back to Michigan, then out to the West Coast schools (Stanford and UCLA). Pretty much visiting my top five schools."
Black reiterated his top five, but that he still welcomes other suitors.
"I put my top five together a while ago, but it's Alabama, UCLA, Stanford, Notre Dame and Michigan," said Black.
While he'll commit early, it wont be official until Black chooses from the hats on the table.
"I'll probably do a silent commit before my senior season, then announce at the US Army All-American game," said Black.
