He’s been committed to Alabama since last April. But until he took an unofficial visit for their camp last week, there was plenty of speculation that Najee Harris wouldn’t end up at Alabama. The nation’s No. 1 prospect has just about everyone in the country after him, including Ohio State, Michigan, USC and UCLA. And we still think there is a very good chance he signs somewhere else besides Alabama come February. But the Tide getting him on campus last week certainly helped their case.
Wade is from Alabama and that's big to him. He recently visited Ohio State, and he loved it, but it is still hard to stay confident that he signs there. His mom is also a big Crimson Tide fan, so that only helps Nick Saban's chances of flipping the four star out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian. It may not happen any time soon, but Alabama is definitely a threat to Ohio State, and when talking big names who could sign with a school in February they currently aren't committed to, Wade is one to watch.
Roberts committed to Nebraska in April, and he chose the Cornhuskers over Penn State. It was his long-standing relationship with the coaching staff and the ability to play early that led Roberts to Nebraska. However, if Stanford makes a move on Roberts, the Cardinal will become a big-time player for Roberts. The mix of academics and football is often enticing for kids, and if Roberts gets admitted, keep an eye on the Cardinal.
OLB Marqez Bimage - Houston Cougars
Bimage was one of the very first commitments to the Cougars in the Class of 2017 -- pulling the trigger back in December -- but since that time he has been collecting some other solid scholarship offers, most notably and recently from LSU in the Southeastern Conference and the Tigers could play a heavy role in his decision making process. Also pushing hard is Texas Tech in the Big 12. Bimage is a defender who will thrive on the next level putting pressure on quarterbacks and chasing down running backs in the flats. He can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up on the edge.
Sibley has been committed to Buckeyes for over a year now, but he confirmed recently that he is still looking around. Reports are that Ohio State is looking at him to greyshirt and that has led to him looking at some other options. He took a visit to Michigan State and has also mentioned Pitt, Virginia, Missouri and others as schools on his radar. He maintains his commitment to Ohio State still and remaining with the Buckeyes is a possibility, but as of now, because of the situation, we see Sibley as the committed guy to watch the most for this list.
Note: Minutes after publishing this article Todd Sibley did indeed decommit and flip to Pitt.
