UCLA Tracking State's No. 9 OLB Richard Cage

Jun. 16 -- The No. 9-rated outside linebacker in California turned in a good performance at the Inland Empire Showcase in front of UCLA assistant Scott White...

Richard Cage landed his first few scholarship offers during the spring evaluation period and the outside linebacker appears to be gaining some recruiting momentum heading into the summer.

The three-star prospect from Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt turned in a good showing at the Inland Empire Showcase last weekend in front of more than two dozen college coaches, and the interest has certainly picked up in recent weeks. Cage showed good mobility in tracking down ball carriers but also the awareness to stay with some receivers in open space, with a good frame that translates well to a physical style of defense.

The likes of ArizonaNevadaSan Jose State and Utah State have offered, and a few others, including Boise StateUCLA and Washington State, have started to express some interest as well.
