Stephen Carr came in to The Opening Finals with a big reputation and more than lived up to it. He's rated the No. 7 overall player in the country and is talented enough to play for any program in the nation.
He's one of those backs who does everything well. He has a great frame, is a powerful runner with quickness, speed, the ability to change direction and shows great hands out of the backfield. He made a huge jump athletically this off-season and as hard as he works, he's only going to get better and has unlimited upside.
He measured out at 6-0, 203 pounds at The Opening, clocked a 4.64-40, 4.18 shuttle and jumped 36" in the vertical. He made the Scout All-Tournament team for The Opening and you can make an argument he was the best back of the event during 7v7 play.
Carr is a pretty solid commit to USC but will take visits. A host of schools including the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Miami (Fl) Hurricanes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, UCLA Bruins and Washington Huskies are on him heavily. He has already taken unofficial trips to Michigan and Miami.
