Charleston Rambo, the 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver prospect from Cedar Hill (Tex.), just tweeted that he received a scholarship offer from UCLA.
The four-star Rambo has been verbally committed to Oklahoma since March, but he has indicated that he plans to take an official visit to UCLA.
UCLA has one scholarship to give to a wide receiver. With it already loaded up with smaller, quicker types, it's looking for a bigger pure wideout, and Rambo fits that mold.
Scout's Midland recruiting expert, Greg Powers, said of Rambo:
Players with the ranginess of Rambo should not be as quick and explosive as he is. He has a great catch radius and creates a distance between the football and the defender allowing him to give the quarterback some nice windows to fit the ball in to. Has the ability to get off of the line quickly and get separation and that combination of abilities makes him a very dangerous weapon. There may not be a receiver in the state of Texas that has his upside. Look for him to continue to climb the charts as he grows and gains more opportunities in game and camp action in front of coaches and scouts.
