Greg Rogers is one of the most coveted defensive tackle prospects out West and checks in at No. 74 in the Scout 100. He measured in at 6-foot-3, 306 pounds at The Opening Finals and has the frame colleges love in an interior lineman. You can mold him in the weight room and add size and strength while improving his quickness as well.
Rogers is a high upside kid who isn't close to a finishes product. He took a few lumps at The Opening going up against a very strong and talented group of offensive guards and centers. He mainly relies on a bull rush right now and will really benefit in college when he adds a few counter moves and improves his overall technique.
Rogers will take his game to another level as well when he improves his 'get-off' and burst off the snap. If he can improve his lateral mobility as well and continue to work on his hands, he'll take his game to another level.
Rogers just visited the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans and it appears the two L.A schools are co-leading at this point. We heard Rogers could make a summer decision but if he does take his official visits, the Arizona State Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes, Michigan Wolverines and Oklahoma Sooners remain in the mix as well and could all get trips.
