It was a very deep and talented group of running backs at The Opening Finals but Najee Harris still stood out and showed why he's such a coveted prospect.
Physically, Harris is pushing 6-foot-3 and looks all of 220-225 pounds. For a big back, Harris has exceptional quickness, lateral mobility and change of direction. He can stop and start like a sub 200 pound back and has the top end speed to run away from a secondary.
Harris also has tremendous hands out of the backfield and could be an elite receiver if he didn't play running back. He's a high level competitor with a great work ethic off the field and loves the weight room. He's a generational talent and arguably the best running back to come out of California in the last decade.
Harris sounds more committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide now than at any other point in his recruitment. Schools are still trying to flip Harris led by the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes, UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans and he could take a visit or two but it will take a lot to get him away from the Tide.
