Josh Talbott is among the top safeties out West and is poised for a big senior year. He has impressed us every time we have seen him and has all the physical tools you're looking for in a next level safety.
He has a solid frame at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, is a physical player who loves to hit and is a better athlete than given credit for. He clocked a 4.59-40 and a 4.23 shuttle at the Opening Regional Camp in L.A back in February, is comfortable playing in space and shows the range and toughness to make plays near the line of scrimmage as well as in the deep secondary.
Talbott has yet to schedule any official visits but did say three schools are currently putting in the most work.
"Washington State, UCLA and Oregon are the schools recruiting me the hardest right now," Talbott said. "I haven't scheduled any trips yet because I still need to talk things over with my parents. I will soon though, that's the plan, then I'll go ahead and lock some in."
