On Boss Tagaloa:

He has nice tattoos. He's a great guy. He's like my brother. I haven't known him that long, but we took our official together and ever since then, we've had a chemistry and bond there.

On fall camp after being in for spring:

I feel like I was more acquainted than I was in spring. The start of spring, every thing was going too fast, but since I was here in spring, going into fall camp, every thing slowed down and I have a better feel for the game.

On what he's brought to the position:

I come out every day and try to get better and do something different each and every day. I look up to Kenny (Young) and Isaako (Savaiianaea), they're mentors to me, especially since we're the same position.

On what he's learned from them:

They have s many years of experience. They're different kinds of backers. But them taking me in, I'm learning about life in football and also the student part, in the classroom.

On being put with them by Jim Mora:

It's kind of nice. Those guys have earned their stripes here. They've done what they've done. To be in the same sentence with them, it's a good feeling. I don't let it faze me, I just come in here and work.

On his playing time expectations for this season:

Whatever is going to help the team, that's what I'm going to do, and I'll give my best at it.

On the defense in fall camp:

I don't have anything to compare it to, but fall camp, I had a bond with the entire defense. The vibe in camp, we're more tighter and we're doing more activities and it's translating to the field.

On his body transformation:

The spring was kind of an eye opener for me.  After spring ball, I took it into my hands with Coach Alosi to change my body to perform the bets I can.  My body has changed, got a little taller, dropped my body fat.

On the advantages to being in for spring:

At first, i was like, ok, I'm happy to be here, but seeing guys who got here for fall camp, like Krys Barnes, who got it all at once, it kind of opened my eyes to how great it was to come in.

On helping Krys Barnes:

Krys and I played for the same 7on7 team and we've had a bond for quite some time now. When Krys came, he kind of looked up to me in a way, because I was here for spring ball, but I was like in the middle of Jayon and Cam Judge.  He came to me, but we're still going through it together.

On the potential of the freshman class:

I like our bond. We developed a bond before any of us got here. We developed a brother hood before any of us stepped foot on campus, but when we stepped on campus, you could see it translate from the cyber world.
