***Game of the Week:*** Corona (Calif.) Centennial vs. Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy at the Honor Bowl in Mission Viejo
If Tropical Storm Hermine doesn’t become Hurricane Hermine, than this much anticipated game will be played. Right now, though, it’s up in the air. If it does get played, Centennial will be led by UCLA commit Jaylan Shaw in the secondary. Meanwhile, Tanner McKee, Centennial’s four-star 2018 quarterback, had a big game in his first start last week, both in the air and on the ground. And the Huskies also have 2018 four-star receiver Manuel Allen, who UCLA is watching early on. IMG has two major UCLA targets, 2017 five-star Dylan Moses, who will visit UCLA officially in November and 2018 receiver Brian Hightower, the former Calabasas receiver who moved to IMG and is a Scout 100 prospect in the 2018 class who spent time on the UCLA campus this summer (and is close with Bruin target Darnay Holmes).
Santa Anta (Calif.) Mater Dei vs. Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair
The Monarchs have a ton of talent and a slew of prospects UCLA is recruiting, including Bruin commit Quentin Lake in the secondary. La Mirada (Calif.) vs. Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
The Matadores, who won the state title last year, have a strong squad coming back, with UCLA cornerback recruit Elijah Hicks, tight end prospect Sire Woods and Colorado commit Chase Newman. Buena Park (Calif.) vs. Paramount (Calif.)
Buena Park is loaded this fall, with a pair of Cal commits on their roster, but no recruit is better on their team than four-star cornerback Elijah Gates, a big UCLA target this year.
