On the defense against A&M:

Coming out at half time, I think we came out a little flat, but hats off to that offense over there. In the fourth quarter we had to bull up and needed to make plays for the team and that’s what we tried to do.

On if they’ll carry the late game momentum:

Most definitely. There are always things to get beter at. We looked at the film and what we need to fix and we come out this week to get ready for UNLV.

On what UNLV brings:

They have a really good offense, great receivers, a really good quarterback transfer, the coach is really good coming from Bishop Gorman. They have a really good offense and it will be a big challenge for us.

On if he’s faced Johnny Stanton before:

Yeah, he went to Santa Margarita and we faced him my senior year at Long Beach Poly. He’s really smart and we’ve got our hands full this week.

On their Rose Bowl opener:

It’s always fun to open at the Rose Bowl. A classic stadium with our great fans. Its definitely good to be back this week and perform in front of our family and friends.

On Kyle Field:

It was definitely crowded there. Very loud. Anything past 50,000 is pretty loud. It isn’t like anything we haven’t seen before. Hats off to Texas A&M. They’re a really good team, great fans as well.

On Keisean Lucier-South:

He’s definitely coming along quick. He’s a smart player, aggressive. We all have things we need to get better at every day. He’s working hard and I see him developing real well.
