Early Season Clips of #1 WR Joseph Lewis

Sep. 13 -- Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins wideout Joseph Lewis is off to a fast start to his senior season. Here's an early look at the five-star receiver in action through the teams first two games...

Evaluation Update:

We've been a big fan of Joseph Lewis' game ever since first seeing him the summer prior to his sophomore year. He has tremendous upside when you  combine his size and strength to go with his speed, ball skills and physicality.

He has the ability to be both a deep threat and a possession receiver in college and is also strong after the catch. He does a nice job adjusting to the ball in the air and is a tough matchup for an opposing corner because he has the strength to create separation but an underrated burst getting in and out of his breaks.

He's a very good blocker and when you consider he'll only be 17 when he's a freshman in college and hasn't come close to physically maturing yet, it's obvious his potential is extremely high.

Recruiting Update:

Lewis plans to take all five of his official visits and has consistently mentioned the Arizona WildcatsNebraska CornhuskersOklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks as four schools he knows he'll check out. He visited  Alabama  over the summer and had a great visit and the Florida Gators is another school he has previously mentioned.

Locally, USC is still involved and we expect Lewis to attend a few Trojan home games, and he could also check out UCLA as well.
