On expectations for BYU game:

I'm expecting a good, physical game.  To come in and be aggressive or physical.

On the defensive performance against UNLV:

I feel like we performed decent but there is always room to grow and get better.

On where they can get better:

Overall with penalties and tackling and doing the little things right and playing to a level I know we can play at.

On if tackling is a big issue:

Somewhat. I wouldn't say it's a huge issue but it's one of those things you focus in and do the little things in practice right to make it work.

On if the lack of tackling in the offseason has contributed to poor tackling:

I don't think that may feed into it.  Just the players, the focus and paying attention to the details.

On game planning for a team that's not as explosive like BYU:

We just go in and focus on us and when we do watch the film, we try to fix our weaknesses and things we can do to switch what they have.  We just try to counteract whatever they give us.

On his season so far:

I feel like the season has gone well. I wish we had won the first game. We went in and did a lot of things good and we went in to practice and fixed some things and that will allow us to have a great season.
