Three-Star OL Jacob Isaia Talks BYU Offer, Plus Michigan State and Pac-12 Interest

Sep. 21 -- Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman junior offensive lineman Jacob Isaia and the rest of his line mates led a strong second half surge in the Gaels come-from-behind win over national top-five rated Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco over the weekend...

The Bishop Gorman offensive line isn't huge up front but makes up for it with athleticism, toughness and tremendous technique. As the starting right tackle at Gorman, Jacob Isaia fits that mold perfectly and is starting to develop in to a very good football player.

Isaia jumped out to us at the Opening Regional Camp back in February when he had one of the highest Nike Ratings for any linemen in the camp highlighted by a 4.55 shuttle and a ridiculous 36" vertical jump.

The lineman was a little light at the time weighing just 233 pounds but said he has already bulked up to 260 pounds since the event. He looked good Friday night in the Gaels big win over Bosco and helped lead a dominant ground game in the second half when Gorman took over.

On the recruiting front, Isaia recently landed his first offer from the BYU Cougars and said he's also hearing from programs like the Florida State SeminolesWashington HuskiesWashington State CougarsUSC TrojansUCLA BruinsColorado Buffaloes and Michigan State Spartans.
