UCLA Prospects In Games This Weekend- Week 4

Sept. 23 -- Check out where UCLA prospects will be playing this weekend throughout the country...

***Game of the Week:***  Corona (Calif.) Centennial vs. Henderson (Nev.) Liberty

Centennial will be led by UCLA commit Jaylan Shaw in the secondary. Meanwhile, Tanner McKee, Centennial’s four-star 2018 quarterback, has started the year strong.  And the Huskies also have 2018 four-star receiver Manuel Allen, who UCLA is watching early on. Liberty has a trio of talented 2018 prospects, including three-star quarterback Kenyon Oblad, receiver Marquez Powell and safety Allan Mwata 

West Orange (Fla.) vs. Orlando (Fla.) Jones

UCLA’s newest commit, quarterback Austin Burton, looks to bounce back after three straight losses when they host Orlando Jones.

Santa Anta (Calif.) Mater Dei vs. Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison

The Monarchs have a ton of talent and a slew of prospects UCLA is recruiting, including Bruin commit Quentin Lake in the secondary.  Plus there are a number of other players the Bruins have offered in the 2018 and 2019 classes.  UCLA’s top in-state tackle prospect in 2018, four-star Tommy Brown, anchors the Monarchs’ offensive line while at receiver is 2018 four-stars Nikko Remigio and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who both have offers and 2019 prospect Horace McCoy.  Edison has 2018 three-star quarterback Griffin O’Connor and 2017 receiver E.J. Ginnis.

Portland (Ore.) Jesuit vs. Beaverton (Ore.) Southridge

Jesuit is led by UCLA commit Jaxson Kirkland on the offensive line and Oregon verbal Demetrius Douglas in the secondary as well as 2018 Scout 300 ATH Trey Lowe, who has gone off the last two weeks for over 350 yards each game.

Chaffey (Calif.) College vs. Grossmont (Calif.) College

UCLA offensive line commit Ronald Rudd and Chaffey look to pick up their second win of the season. 

Redlands (Calif.) East Valley vs. Yucaipa (Calif.)

UCLA’s crown jewel of their class, five-star defensive end Jaelan Phillips has had a monster beginning to the season and REV tries to bounce back from consecutive losses. 

Roseville (Calif.) vs. Fair Oaks (Calif.) Del Campo

UCLA tight end commit Jimmy Jaggers has been getting it done on defense as well and he tries to help Roseville stay unbeaten this fall when they play Del Campo.

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman vs. Las Vegas (Nev.) Bonanza

Scout’s defending national champions, Bishop Gorman, finally takes on an in-state foe after four wins against out-of-state programs. While Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell will start for the Gaels, 2018 four-star quarterback and UCLA target Dorian Thompson-Robinson will play receiver, split out next to 2018 four-star tight end target Brevin Jordan.  Defensively, two more UCLA targets lead the Gaels, four-star safety Bubba Bolden and 2018 four-star linebacker Palei Gaoteote.  

Kahuku (Hawaii) vs. Honolulu (Hawaii) Moanalua

Kahuku returns to the Islands after losing their first game of the season last week to Bishop Gorman. The Red Raiders won the Hawaii state title a year ago and features UCLA defensive end target Aliki Vimahi and three-star running back Kesi Ah-Hoy.  Kahuku is also coached by a Bruin in former defensive lineman Vae Tata.

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly vs. Long Beach (Calif.) Wilson

Poly has UCLA recruits Cam McDonald (2018) at tight end and safety Josh Talbott (2017) 

Mission Viejo (Calif.) vs. Redondo (Calif.)

The Diablos have UCLA prospect Olaijah Griffin at corner from the 2018 class and 2018 four-star receiver Austin Osborne leading them on both sides.

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle vs. Antioch (Calif.)

Two of the top players in the state, one on offense, one on defense, will be on the field at the same time. Antioch features UCLA running back recruit Najee Harris, the No. 1 player in the country while De La Salle has defensive tackle Tuli Letuligasenoa, a  2018 four-star who has a few early Pac-12 offers, including one from UCLA.

Calabasas (Calif.) vs. Woodland Hills (Calif.) El Camino Real

Calabasas is loaded, featuring UCLA target Darnay Holmes , the No. 1 cornerback in the 2017 class nationally, plus 2018 four-star corner Bookie Radley-Hiles as well as a pair of Nebraska commits in quarterback Tristan Gebbia and receiver Keyshawn Johnson. 

Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian vs. South Gate (Calif.)

UCLA’s first commit to the 2017 class was Salesian linebacker Rahyme Johnson, and while he decommitted, the Bruins are back recruiting him and he and teammate Deommodore Lenoir, a commit to Oregon. 

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) vs. Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill

Rancho Cucamonga has UCLA cornerback recruits Thomas Graham and Jaylon Redd from part of a loaded secondary featuring four Pac-12 recruits.

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian vs. Murrieta (Calif.) Valley

Oaks has the top quarterback in California, USC commit Matt Corral and Stanford tight end commit Colby Parkinson while they'll be matching up against two Power 5 receivers in Colorado commit Maurice Bell and 2018 four-star Marquis Spiker, who UCLA just offered this week.

Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral vs. Corona (Calif.) Santiago

Chaparral has 2018 offensive line target Justin Dedich and teammate Steven Jones, who the Bruins are watching, plus Cal commit and former UCLA recruit Michael Onyemaobi.  

Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt vs. La Quinta (Calif.)

Roosevelt has 2018 receiver target Chase Williams, a four-star who was offered at the Bruin Elite Camp, to lead their offense plus 2017 linebacker Richard Cage, who is on the Bruins linebacker board. 

La Mirada (Calif.) vs. Cerritos (Calif.)

The Matadores, who won the state title last year, have a strong squad coming back, with UCLA cornerback recruit Elijah Hicks, tight end prospect Sire Woods and Colorado commit Chase Newman.  

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco vs. Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s

Bosco and their stacked roster, including 2018 safety Jaiden Woodbey, one of UCLA’s top targets, meets St. Mary’s, which has UCLA defensive line target Popo Aumavae in an intersectional matchup.

Provo (Utah) Timpview and Bruin target Chaz Ah You play Orem. Lehi (Utah) and new UCLA tight end offer holder Carson Terrell play American Fork (Utah).  Concord (Calif.) Clayton Valley and offensive lineman Jalen McKenzie play Antioch (Calif.) Deer Valley.  Los Angeles (Calif.) and defensive tackle Martin Andrus face Los Angeles (Calif.) Hamilton. Claremont (Calif.) and 2018 four-star linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu play Alta Loma. Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey and 2019 defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux play La Canada (Calif.) St. Francis. 2018 four-star safety Isaac Taylor and San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine face Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake. Oceanside (Calif.) El Camino and 2018 four-star running back Chris Brown meet San Marcos (Calif). 


Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon and UCLA commit Kanan Ray have the weekend off. Buena Park (Calif.) and Bruin target Elijah Gates are off this weekend. Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins and their loaded group have the weekend off.
