My-King Johnson is considered one of the top pass-rushers in the West given his pure speed off the edge and ability to finish plays in the backfield.
The three-star prospect from Tempe, Ariz., shows good pursuit on film, though he might not overpower blockers with strength, he's agile enough to consistently pressure quarterbacks. UCLA became the latest program to extend a scholarship offer this week.
Johnson turned in a good performance at the USC Rising Stars Camp this past summer and has the Trojans firmly in his top list of schools along with both in-state options -- Arizona and Arizona State -- and Texas A&M and Oregon, where he officially visited last weekend. The Bruins entered the race relatively late but are hoping to draw a closer look, particularly given their need to add another pass-rusher in the 2017 class to pair with five-star Jaelan Phillips.
Through six games this year, Johnson has been credited with 58 total tackles, including 11 1/2 sacks.
