UCLA Prospects In Games This Weekend - Week 5

Sept. 30 -- Check out where UCLA prospects will be playing this weekend throughout the country...

***Game of the Week:***  Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman vs. Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas

This game will feature nearly 25 FBS commits and another 10-15 prospects. In other words, this game will be loaded.  Scout’s defending national champions, Bishop Gorman, plays another out-of-state program, powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas. While Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell will start for the Gaels, 2018 four-star quarterback and UCLA target Dorian Thompson-Robinson will play receiver, split out next to 2018 four-star tight end target Brevin Jordan.  Defensively, two more UCLA targets lead the Gaels, four-star safety Bubba Bolden and 2018 four-star linebacker Palei Gaoteote. STA has Florida quarterback commit Jake Allen

West Orange (Fla.) vs. Orlando (Fla.) Jones

UCLA quarterback commit Austin Burton, looks to bounce back after four straight losses when they take on Apopka, which has 2018 four-star offensive tackle William Barnes, who has a UCLA offer already. 

Portland (Ore.) Jesuit vs. Hillsboro (Ore.) Century

Jesuit is led by UCLA commit Jaxson Kirkland on the offensive line and Oregon verbal Demetrius Douglas in the secondary as well as 2018 Scout 300 ATH Trey Lowe, who has gone off the last three weeks with two 350+ yards each game and 17 touchdowns.

Chaffey (Calif.) College vs. Palomar (Calif.) College

UCLA offensive line commit Ronald Rudd and Chaffey look to pick up their third win of the season.

Redlands (Calif.) East Valley vs. Rialto (Calif.) Carter

UCLA’s crown jewel of their class, five-star defensive end Jaelan Phillips has had a monster beginning to the season and REV tries to make it two straight. 

Roseville (Calif.) vs. Elk Grove (Calif.) Cosumnes Oaks

UCLA tight end commit Jimmy Jaggers has been getting it done on defense as well and he tries to help Roseville stay unbeaten this fall when they play Cosumnes Oaks, the alma mater of Marcus Rios and Alex Van Dyke.

Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon vs. Paso Robles (Calif.)

After a bye weekend, UCLA commit Kanan Ray and his unbeaten Sierra Canyon squad look to move to 6-0 with a big road trip to Paso Robles. 

Buena Park (Calif.) vs. La Canada (Calif.) St. Francis

A stacked Buena Park roster, featuring UCLA 2017 cornerback target Elijah Gates and 2018 receiver recruit Devon Cooley, plus other Power 5 commits hits the road for a key non-league game against St. Francis, coached by former Bruin quarterback Jim Bonds, who’s nephew, Michael Bonds, is a three-star quarterback for St. Francis.

Kahuku (Hawaii) vs. Honolulu (Hawaii) Kaiser

The Red Raiders won the Hawaii state title a year ago and features UCLA defensive end target Aliki Vimahi and three-star running back Kesi Ah-Hoy.  Kahuku is also coached by a Bruin in former defensive lineman Vae Tata. 

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly vs. Long Beach (Calif.) Cabrillo

Poly has UCLA recruits Cam McDonald (2018) at tight end and safety Josh Talbott (2017) 

Mission Viejo (Calif.) vs. Lake Forest (Calif.) El Toro

The Diablos have UCLA prospect Olaijah Griffin at corner from the 2018 class and 2018 four-star receiver Austin Osborne leading them on both sides. 

Calabasas (Calif.) vs. Valencia (Calif.)

Calabasas is loaded, featuring UCLA target Darnay Holmes , the No. 1 cornerback in the 2017 class nationally, plus 2018 four-star corner Bookie Radley-Hiles as well as a pair of Nebraska commits in quarterback Tristan Gebbia and receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt vs. Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala

Roosevelt has 2018 receiver target Chase Williams, a four-star who was offered at the Bruin Elite Camp, to lead their offense plus 2017 linebacker Richard Cage, who is on the Bruins linebacker board. 

La Mirada (Calif.) vs. Norwalk (Calif.)

The Matadores, who won the state title last year, have a strong squad coming back, with UCLA cornerback recruit Elijah Hicks, tight end prospect Sire Woods and Colorado commit Chase Newman.

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey and 2019 defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux play Culver City (Calif.). Los Angeles (Calif.) and defensive tackle Martin Andrus face Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne. Sacramento (Calif.) Grant and new UCLA offeree Orlando Umana play Elk Grove (Calif.). West Jordan (Utah) and new UCLA defensive end offeree Alden Tofa host Sandy (Utah) Jordan.  Lehi (Utah) and tight end offeree Carson Terrell play Bountiful (Utah) Viewpoint. 


Corona (Calif.) Centennial and UCLA commit Jaylan Shaw are off this weekend. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei and UCLA pledge Quentin Lake have a bye. Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins and their loaded group have the weekend off. Concord (Calif.) De La Salle and defensive line target Tuli Letuligasenoa have a bye. Antioch (Calif.) and five-star running back Najee Harris are off. Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian and UCLA recruit Rahyme Johnson have a bye. Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) and UCLA cornerback target Thomas Graham are off. Murrieta Valley (Calif.) and 2018 UCLA receiver recruit Marquis Spiker have the weekend off. Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral and 2018 UCLA recruit Justin Dedich have a bye. Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco and UCLA 2018 safety recruit Jaiden Woodbey have the weekend off. Concord (Calif.)
