On when he found out he would be the feature back:

It was getting more reps in practice, preparing ourselves. It's not really said, we all prepare the same way so we're ready to get out there and run the ball.

On how he felt he did:

I felt good, I'm still not satisfied, I still have more work to do on the film room and practice field. It's a long season so its important to keep my body healthy.

On the first half struggles:

We were thinking too much and too uptight. At halftime, we came together as a team. We know we're a good offense, but we had to come out and that's what we did in the second half.

On what he learned from the Stanford game:

Running hard, following the scheme and blocks. We have to know where the soft spots are and hit it hard.

On if it was a step forward for the running backs:

Definitely I do. We have to keep at it, keep doing things with Coach P and we'll have a good rest of the season.

On if Polamalu communicated more with them this week:

Yeah, he definitely was, coming over on the sideline to talk to us more. Asked us what was going on with the fronts. We did a lot of talk during the week about watching the weak spots.
