2019 ATH Charbonnet Getting On the Map

Oct. 11 -- Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian 2019 athlete Zach Charbonnet is getting his name on the map as a sophomore...

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian 2019 athlete Zach Charbonnet (6-1, 190) figures to be the next big time back for the Lions.

Charbonnet had six touchdowns against Murrieta (Calif.) Valley HS and gives the Lions another weapon on their high-powered offense.

OregonUCLA and USC are some of the schools he is interested in.

He talked about taking on more carries this fall, gave an early look at the recruiting process and more with Scout.

On being the latest running back from Oaks:

i"m still behind Brandon LaBrie, but as he came out, I played my heart out and tried my best.  The line was blocking and I read my blocks and was trying to fill his shoes.

On getting some early Pac-12 exposure:

That's the reason why I came here and it's good to be around players like Colby Parkinson and Matt Corral.  In that game, it put me a little on the spot and it's good to play around people like that.

On where he fits best position wise:

For college I'd want to go to running back, but if they wanted me somewhere else, I'd see what they want me to do, but primarily running back.

On who he watched growing up:

USC, UCLA, Oregon, schools mostly out here.

On staying in Los Angeles for college:

I'm not sure yet, too early.

On his size:

6-1, 190.

On his academics:

Pretty good.
