According to Gill, North Carolina and Virginia Tech will make the cut when he trims his list of schools in the near future.

"The environment at the schools and my relationships with the coaching staffs is the reason they will make it," he said. "I can also just see myself fitting in at those schools. I'd give them the edge right now."

Gill will take some important visits in the near future.

"Most likely, the next trip will be to UNC on Nov. 5 for my official visit," he said. "Virginia Tech and UCLA will definitely get officials, too, but I don't have any dates for those yet."

Gill, who will enroll early, has a timeline for his commitment.

"It will probably be at the end of the season," he said. "It's going to be pretty hard, but I've just got find the school that's the best fit for me."
